We are a team of experimental researchers in the Department of Physics at Montana State University located in beautiful, Bozeman, MT. Our research bridges the fields of physics, materials science, optics, and chemistry to explore quantum mechanical, optical and electronic phenomena in a wide range of new material systems. We employ a sophisticated suite of optical spectroscopy tools to investigate how light interacts with matter on ultrasmall length scales, at ultrafast timescales, and at ultra-low temperatures. From these investigations, we study the creation, annihilation and evolution of quantum states in matter with the aim of developing new material systems and device architectures for future generations of optical, photonic, electronic and quantum technologies.
