New results on defects in WS2

The announcement is a bit late, but the Borys Lab was involved in two papers that were published early this year in ACS Nano.

The first paper reports a comprehensive study of the how defects modify the excitons and band structure of monolayer WS2. The study combined multiple techniques to to understand how missing sulfur atoms locally modify important optical and electronic properties of the atomically thin 2D semiconductor.
